Abstract
D. V. Suvorovʼ s article presents the research of the unique Russian civilization development and its modernization processes. The USSR totalitarian establishment processes and their peculiarities are examined from the modernization or anti-modernization dominating trends perspective. The Stalinʼs period of our history qualified as «pseudo-modernization» is characterized by a contradictory combination of «early modernization» and «archaic reproduction» features.
