Abstract
Until now religious and philosophical texts of Lev Tolstoy has aroused a certain echo and even caused conflicts within the scientific community. Tolstoy’s personality remains controversial in scientific perception. Though Tolstoy defended his views on religion, the church, the state, art in more open manner than any of his contemporaries.
