Abstract
Kant was the first to open the fact that there is a difference between the way practical rules of conduct are learned and the way theoretical sciences cognate their subject matters. This Article One is largely devoted to Kant’s views on theoretical and practical cognitive subject matters; he opposed them not to empirical cognition but to rational knowledge only.
