Abstract
The article is devoted to the nostalgia characterizing the relation of a Post-Soviet person to the lost Soviet past. The special attention is paid to nostalgia of the 30-year-old that found expression in virtual space of the Internet. The Internet allowed to build social communications of a new type (through creation of virtual communities, through formation of audio and visual identity of «the Soviet» within such sites as www.76-82.ru, www.savok.name, community «Soviet life» on www.livejournal.ru, www.sovetika.ru, www.odnoklassniki.ru, etc.). Artifacts of the Soviet childhood become the objects of admire for network communities participants. These phenomena are explained by the society’s defensive reaction in process of transition from «Soviet» to «Russian». Nostalgia is treated through a prism of social changes and processes of collective identification. In such circumstances nostalgia becomes not only a means of therapy, but also a context forming collective identity of the Post-Soviet person.
