Abstract
The paper explores the “tourist rituals” phenomenon, i.e. acts performed by tourists during educational tours or excursions (making wishes, tying ribbons “for luck”, touching sculptures, etc.) Authors propose their own classification of these rituals, define their functions, and distinguish tourists’ motivation for ritual play actions in the course of the tour.
