Abstract
The article discusses the main provisions of one of the most popular approaches in contemporary philosophy – speculative realism – on the example of «After Finitude», the work by the French thinker Q. Meillassoux. The author analyzes the most important critical theses propagated by the representatives of speculative realism regarding «correlationism» which characterizes classical philosophy as well as contemporary thought. This theses applied to the main idea of the Q. Meillassoux’s work – the statement of the absolute need for contingency – have been demonstrated.
