Abstract
The article deals with the issues concerning the nature of scientific experiment as a basis of the Western civilization. Scientific experiment is not just a rigorous method of studying nature, but also the general social practice penetrating into all domains of society including the human nature. The authors consider the features of social experiment using the examples of cinema, literature, artistic culture. They also raise a question of true evidence of the Auschwitz experiment. The hypothesis of the viral nature of the technical is supported by the practices of modern society life.
