Method оf Cultural Practice аnd the Problem оf Cultural Interpretation оf the Actual Art in Contemporary Aesthetics

The author considers the method of cultural practices (P. Bourdieu) as a method for analyzing the social functioning of contemporary art practices and as a possible method for interpreting the contemporary art project in the field of Cultural Studies. Cultural Studies interpretation of the contemporary art practices is researched using the example of expert statements on the case of the group of artists Pussy Riot. The author comes to the conclusion that this method is effective only if the voluminous socio-cultural context of understanding the field of contemporary art is included in the scope of the interpretation of the art project.
