Abstract
The article focuses on the tolerance considering it as a personality quality relevant to the needs of modern service activities and processes, especially to event-service. The authors analyze scientific approaches to the concept of tolerance; they also substantiate the understanding of this phenomenon matching the tasks of service activities. The article also highlights the specificity of event-service as one of the modern types of service activities, which determine requirements for the participants of service processes. The ability to cooperate, cultural competence, empathy, tolerance for differences, acceptance of the Other proved to be the key characteristics of the service subjects. The use of these approaches constitutes event management, on which the success of the organization of any event depends.
