Abstract
The article highlights the trends of the Russian market of distance trading. It shows the trends of
e-commerce in terms of the development of main players and their interests. The author concludes that the prospects of e-commerce in Russia are promising. The high dynamics of e-commerce will lead to the inevitable transformation of the institutional environment: an increasing number of participants in the traditional retail will begin to develop e-commerce formats; the popularity of niche online stores will grow; there will be an active consolidation in the market of marketplaces and aggregators; the transformation and expansion of the functionality of logistics companies will continue.
