Abstract
The article considers two mechanisms to restore the financial health of credit institutions being realized at the current stage of Russia’s banking system. The authors characterized a new mechanism of sanitation through the Fund of Banking Sector Consolidation by the example of Otkritie Bank. The authors also revealed the problems of the existing sanitation mechanisms and offered indicative ways of addressing them.
