Abstract
The review article presents main ideas and problems discussed by Russian and foreign scholars and practitioners in the roundtable session including: humanitarian diplomacy as a diplomacy of “soft power”, the phenomenon of humanitarian intervention, international humanitarian collaboration, etc. The authors also consider specific features of present-day humanitarian diplomacy and new directions in human rights research.
