Abstract
The paper examines the development of otherworldly-evil images in the Russian literature of the nineteenth century. On the example of “Eugene Onegin” by Pushkin and “Demons” by Dostoevsky, the authors prove the proposition about the erasure, blurring and subsequent destruction of the boundary between the human and the other world in Russian literature and culture.
