Folk Stage Dance as a Cultural Phenomenon of Socialist Realism

The article deals with the phenomenon of folk stage dance as a cultural form that emerged in the paradigm of socialist realism. It was the period, when the resources of folk dance were simultaneously used as a tool for solving state foreign policy issues, and also as an opportunity to transfer the values declared by the official ideology of collectivism and selflessness to help every Soviet person in building his or her own identity in a multinational state.
