Abstract
The author of this study raises questions about the nature of the bioethical dignity of the individual and the place of the right to bioethical dignity in the human rights system. When writing the work, the author used both general scientific (the transition from the general to the private) and private scientific methods (the method of legal hermeneutics). The author argues the relevance of the topic of this study by referring to the principles of modern state policy. The article examines the right to bioethical dignity of man as a biological being and man as a person. In the course of the research, the author analyzes the works of Russian and foreign scientists devoted to human rights in general and the human right to bioethical dignity in particular. Special attention is paid to works in the field of constitutional law, theory of state and law, civil law, etc. The opinions of scientists studying human rights and bioethics are presented and critically evaluated. Among other things, the article talks about the inseparable part of human rights and the right to bioethical dignity of the individual, the author studies the correlation of these rights. The paper underlines the need to study the concept of “the right to bioethical dignity of the individual” (“the right to bioethical human dignity).” As a result of the research, the conclusion is made about the importance of the role of the bioethical dignity of the human personality both in the system of rights and for the development of domestic jurisprudence. The author emphasizes the need to
study biomedical law and argues the importance of such research for legal science.
