Abstract
The review article summarizes the key points presented in the plenary reports, welcoming and discussion speeches of the participants of the interregional scientific-practical conference “Law and Rights in Today’s Russia: History, Theory, Practice”. The conference marked the centenary of the birth of S. S. Alekseev. The discussion focused on the contributions of S. S. Alekseev to the development of humanitarian and legal ideas, as well as his theoretical and practical activities as a renowned lawyer and one of the key figures in the drafting of the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. The relevance of his legacy in the context of modern Russia was also examined.
