Conversion of a Withheld Bankruptcy Claim into a Collateralized Obligation

This article examines the problem of retention in bankruptcy litigation and the relationship between withholdings and collaterals by means of specific cases. Specifically, we consider how a withholding is converted into a priority pledge and what is necessary for this to happen.
