Abstract
The article is devoted to the differences in the conceptual framework used by the legislator in determining the types of sources of law in the Labor Code of the Russian Federation and in the Civil Code of the Russian Federation. The necessity to take into account the differentiation of the concepts of normative legal acts and individual legal acts in legal definitions of sources of law is emphasized. The article considers the consequences of the legislator’s use of the category of other legal acts instead of the category of other normative legal acts when determining the sources of civil law in the Civil Code for the implementation and application of legal norms. The author concludes that the legislator must adhere to the established distinction between normative legal acts and individual legal acts, as outlined in legal theory.
