Рeculiarities and meaning of park of culture and rest

The article presents the Park of culture and rest as the space of expressing the meanings existing at the different levels of culture: global (specific of the Park as a cultural phenomenon), the civilizational (especially Eastern and Western parks as two poles making an impact on the formation of the Russian park) and national. The basic meanings of different periods (especially Soviet and post-Soviet) are also taken into consideration.
