Abstract
The article deals with the history and development of a particular subject (in the French legal education system) which looks into the issues of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, as well as judgments of the European Court of Human Rights based on the Convention. Legal and political reasons for delay in incorporating the discipline into the French law schools curricula are analyzed. The author also stresses that the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights are covered under other topics of law related to the issues.
