Abstract
The history of Russia–Ukraine relations demonstrates the necessity of mutual tolerance and respect for cultural specificity of each country since both nations, used to be interdependent, economically and politically, now have found themselves on opposite sides of the barricades in the 21st century information war. The current Ukrainian political, economic and spiritual crises cannot be overcome through forming a unified Ukrainian nation in a destructive way and making Russia and Ukraine adversaries.
