Abstract
This article is devoted to topical issues of the insurance market development in the Russian Federation. In analyses the indicators of the Russian insurance market such as the number of subjects of the insurance market, the amount of insurance premiums, the amount of the insurance payments, and the number of the signed insurance contracts. The dynamics of these indicators in 2015–2017 is provided. The author has considered the structure of the insurance market created on the types of insurance for the years researched. In the presented analysis, the main tendencies of the Russian insurance market have been revealed, the possible prospects of this market have been determined.
