Abstract
This article is devoted to an analytical study of the main measures of state support for the establishment and maintenance of small business in the Russian Federation. The article discusses the basic types of financial and other assistance that a novice entrepreneur can get. Also, terms and conditions of modern small business are outlined. Based on the above-mentioned results, it is possible to build prospects for the creation of small and medium-size businesses taking into account the unstable situation in the domestic market and significant fluctuations in the Russian economy.
