Abstract
The present day requires new approaches in state management of the tourism industry, including the identification of priority areas of state policy for regulating the tourism industry, as well as tools for its implementation. Of particular importance is the consideration of models of government management of the tourism industry in countries that are leaders in international tourist arrivals. During the course of our work, we considered a number of models of government management of the tourism industry, including those relating to both leading countries and the wider world community. The author of the article focuses on the prevailing model, taking into account the characteristics of the sectoral characteristics of government agencies in the tourism industry. An analysis of the priority areas of state policy in the field of tourism in the leading countries made it possible to identify the priority points of growth of the tourism industry, the digital transformation of the industry and ensuring the safety and accessibility of tourist trips. Based on the results of the analysis, the author gave relevant recommendations on current areas of development of technologies for state management of the tourism industry. A special place in modern economic realities is given to digitalization due to the expected effects from the introduction of tools for obtaining and measuring data that will allow us to build a model of interaction between all participants in the tourism industry, which will become another tool for ensuring the sustainability of the tourism industry through the assessment of tourism data, the efficiency of tourist flows distribution and the development of tourism assets in smaller territories.
