Abstract
In modern conditions, much attention is paid to entrepreneurship as one of the main components of the socio-economic development of the national and regional economies. Entrepreneurial education is of particular interest in this case. The study identified and substantiated the main trends in the formation of entrepreneurial education and the increasing demand for it among applicants. At the same time, an examination of the dynamics of change in the admission of first-year students to management and economics programs has revealed a notable shift in applicants’ preferences towards more fundamental business and entrepreneurial education. The authors conclude that the advancement of entrepreneurial education within academic institutions is unfeasible without the active involvement of leading experts and representatives of the business community.
