Abstract
Transformations in the socio-economic and political spheres, a decrease in the number of young people entering the labor market, and active digitalization processes are all reflected in the field of employment and affect the interaction between employees and employers. Despite significant research interest in the topic of youth unemployment, there are still unexplored issues related to its structure and the factors that determine it. The shift in generational dynamics gives rise to alterations in value systems, encompassing the rise of remote work, youthful mobility, and geographical relocation. These developments have significantly transformed the landscape of the labor market. The article explores the concept of youth unemployment across different time periods, provides the authorial definition of this phenomenon, and identifies the key values that influence young people’s involvement in the workforce. It also describes the mechanisms for integrating young people into the employment market, including legal measures, and examines the various types of unemployment within the context of youth unemployment.
